5 Ingredients Chocolate Cake

  • 1 1/2 cups (200g) self-rising flour
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) vegetable oil
  • 1 cup (240ml) milk1/2 cup (50g) unsweetened cocoa powder

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8-inch round cake pan or line it with parchment paper.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the self-rising flour, granulated sugar, and unsweetened cocoa powder. Mix well to ensure even distribution of the ingredients.

Add Wet Ingredients: Add the vegetable oil and milk to the dry mixture. Use a whisk or an electric mixer on low speed to blend the ingredients until the batter is smooth and well combined.

Pour Batter into Pan: Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan, spreading it out evenly.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

Cool and Serve: Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, you can serve it as is or top it with your favorite frosting, whipped cream, or a dusting of powdered sugar.
